DetailsThe Koni FSD are not gas charged so they can be extended or retracted easily during installation. What this means is that right out of the box the Bilsteens offer a little harsher ride over small bumps like road joints. The Koni SFD shocks absorb those same road joints and pas a lot less vibrations on to the coach.

DetailsThanks to all the IRV2 coach owners who posted info about the Koni's shocks. I am now a believer. Hopefully all Entegra's will start coming with this upgrade in the future. Maybe they already do. For anyone on the fence trying to decide if they should go with new Koni shocks on the front I suggest you go for it.

DetailsKoni MR2 Yellow Adjustable Sport Shocks VS Tokico MR2 Illumina Shocks Koni > Tokico Or Tokico > Koni I want a good ride for day to day driving, but adjustiable for some AutoX on the weekends. i can afford eather option but don't know the better of the two. Also what springs would you guys recomend to go with these struts. I have $1000 springs …
DetailsKONI Sports, like Bilstein Sports, are bulletproof and valved to work with any lowering spring out there. They're also rebound dampening adjustable (unlike the Bilstein Sport Shocks) and are considered to be the very best shock absorber in the world for lowering springs because of this.
DetailsNew shocks from several brands were tested. While the results are subjective they are still comparing new to new, not new to old. The testers found the Bilstein shocks had the same amount of chassis control as the Koni shocks but were less harsh on rough roads. Based on the article I bought Bilstein shocks.
DetailsTopic: Koni vs Bilstein: Posted By: FloridaRosebud on 07/24/20 07:19pm OK, it's a 2006 National Seabreeze, F53 chassis. As stated in my last thread, I've got it handling great, however, still rides pretty rough. Was on the NY thruway today, and was a bit rough, then got to I-79 to head south, and though yes, this is way mo'betta. BUT, the ...
DetailsIn a word, yes. The Sensatracs will ride better, but the Koni's will out handle and out last the Monroes hands down, not to mention they are adjustable. Note that you can obtain several versions for a VS. For road use you are best off using pt. # 86-2535 and 80 …

Details2020 Equinox, Invisibrake. The only comparison I have is between no shocks (the originals were completely worn out) and standard Monroe's. BIG difference..... aT $50 each, other than doing the CHF, it was the best improvement I made in driving, handling, and control of my F53. I switched from Monroe to Koni.
DetailsBilstein adds 1% to spring ratio or even less because of nitrogen pressure. Bilstein has two seals and to damage it is not so easy. I'm not saying that its the inverted design that changes the dampening. I'm saying as a fact that Bilstein shocks dampen on the compression stroke while Koni's dampen durring rebound.
DetailsI have a cup kit at the moment and although it rides comfortable, I'd like to lower the car another .75-1.0" (currently on Koni Adjustable shocks/struts, ad TEIN S-TECH springs) 2 finger gap all around After weeks of research, I have narrowed my options down to: Koni Coilovers (height and dampening adjustability)
DetailsKoni Yellow versus Bilstein B6 on springs that keep the same F/R ratio as stock for the FR-S but lower maybe 20mm max is what it comes down to for me (have to double check lift clearance though... may not even be able to drop the ride height or bring the lifting frames in from the outside versus out from the center of the car.)
DetailsKoni yellow with tein springs are a bit stiffer then stock so there isn't much discomfort. The godspeeds were great but to rough for me plus I'm having a baby so went back to the koni set up. So I would go with koni and get good springs. webbos4door said:
DetailsKoni has a recent development (at least for Class C's) called FSD for Frequency Sensitive Dampening. Those are the ones I'd read about. Cost is about 2x a Bilstein. Disclaimer: I do NOT have those installed. I base this on many reviews here and promotion of the FSD's at Hendersons Line Up near you in Grants Pass OR. Our crew …
DetailsThe Koni FSD shock is a very basic attempt at providing real time variability in a shock, as they only have two mechanically sensed and invoked states - a "low frequency" damping reaction and a "high frequency" damping reaction. Low frequency damping is for up-and-down bounce control on bumps, dips, curbs, etc. and for leaning control on curves
